Ole Miss second baseman hit .455 with four doubles in Texas

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss second baseman Peyton Chatagnier seemed to feel quite at home this weekend at the State Farm College Baseball Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington. The Cypress, Texas native’s performance earned him SEC Co-Player of the Week honors on Tuesday.

In the season-opening tournament against the nation’s best, Chatagnier led the Rebels in hitting with a batting average of .455. He notched four doubles, three RBI, and scored three runs in wins over No. 10 TCU, No. 3 Texas Tech, and No. 9 Texas. Against the Longhorns, Chatagnier went 3-for-4 with three doubles.

Here’s a recent interview we did with the Ole Miss second baseman.
