Following Strong NCAA Tournament Run, Ole Miss’ Brayden Randle Expected to Enter Portal

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss infielder Brayden Randle, who played outfield during the Rebels’ super regional and College World Series run, is expected to enter the transfer portal, per reports.

Randle just finished his junior season with Ole Miss, one in which he appeared in 51 games with 45 starts at shortstop. In the Rebels’ super regional series against Auburn, coach Mike Bianco moved Randle to the outfield to bolster the Rebels’ hitting production.

This season, the junior from Rockwall, Texas, finished with a .259 average with 42 hits, 8 doubles, a triple, 4 home runs and 23 RBIs. In the seven NCAA Tournament games Ole Miss played in, however, Randle hit .458 with seven RBIs and one home run.

He finishes his Ole Miss career having played in 107 games with 97 starts and carried a .248 batting average.

In the field, Randle had 118 put outs and assisted in 187 plays with 20 errors in three seasons on the diamond with a .938 fielding percentage.

During the 2026 postseason, Randle was instrumental with walk-off performances that helped the team get to Omaha. His soon-to-be-former head coach, Mike Bianco, noticed his contributions.

“I’m proud of him because in the biggest moments, I don’t know if he sees it, but we see it,” Bianco said. “The pulses slow. He wants those big moments. There’s certain guys that won’t pull the trigger. Certain guys that are different in those moments. He’s almost better in those moments.”
