After Taking Series over the Gamecocks, Ole Miss Baseball Ranks in Baseball America’s Top 25 this Week

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss baseball took the series, two games to one, over then-No. 20 South Carolina this weekend at Swayze, and as a result the Rebels have marched their way back into Baseball America’s Top 25. Ole Miss comes in at No. 17 this week.

Here’s what Baseball America has to say about the Diamond Rebels:

Ole Miss ran its winning streak to nine games before losing Sunday’s series finale against South Carolina. But before that loss, the Rebels clinched a key series win to open SEC play behind a solid performance on the mound. Starters Gunnar Dennis and Liam Doyle pitched well and five relievers combined to hold the Gamecocks to one run in 7.2 innings over the two wins. Ole Miss faces a tough week ahead, starting with a game against Southern Miss.”
