Ole Miss Outfielder Treyson Hughes Named to 2024 NCBWA Preseason All-American Team
Two-time Freshman All-American Earns Recognition from National Publication
DALLAS – (Release) The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced their 2024 Preseason All-America teams Tuesday afternoon, naming Ole Miss’ Treyson Hughes to the Third Team.
Hughes is a junior transfer who played his first two seasons at Mercer where he played in 115 games for the Bears. The Georgia native boasts a career .352 batting average with 105 total RBI and 127 runs scored over two seasons.
Last season, he hit .387 and set a new single-season runs scored record at Mercer, crossing the plate 74 times in 58 games. Hughes led the Southern Conference in on-base percentage and runs scored, earning 2023 First Team All-SoCon and SoCon All-Tournament team honors.
In 2022, Hughes was named a Freshman All-American by both Perfect Game and the NCBWA after hitting .317 with 14 home runs and 53 RBI for the Bears.
Hughes is from Warner Robins, Georgia and played his high school baseball at Houston County High School.
