Indiana transfer safety Louis Moore commits to Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. — Former Indiana safety Louis Moore announced Monday he will transfer to Ole Miss for the 2024 season. He received the highest PFF defensive grade of any of the Hoosiers for the 2023 season, scoring a 75.7. 

This past season, Moore played in 12 games and totaled 83 tackles, three interceptions, a pick six and three forced fumbles. 

Moore originally began his collegiate career at Navarro Junior College in Corsicana, Texas before transferring to Indiana. He spent two seasons at Navarro, playing both receiver and safety, where he notched 48 catches for 713 yards and five touchdowns. He also tallied 18 tackles, two TFL, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble and one pass breakup. 

This weekend, Ole Miss defensive coordinator Pete Golding and the Rebels also gained commitments from Arkansas transfer linebacker Chris “Pooh” Paul and Illinois cornerback Taz Nicholson.
