Ole Miss gets commitment from 4-star running back Kedrick Reescano
OXFORD, Miss. — On Saturday night, Ole Miss picked up a verbal commit from running back Kedrick Reescano, a four-star talent in the class of 2023 from New Caney (Texas) High School.

The 5-11, 190-pound Reescano ranks as the nation’s No. 8 running back and the No. 33 player in the state of Texas’ 2023 class by the 247Sports Composite index.
Reescano, who had previously been committed to Michigan State, took his official visit to Ole Miss back in October. During this final push before Early Signing Day begins next week, the star athlete had also been receiving a lot of attention from Penn State, A&M and Oklahoma State.
Reescano is the first running back pledged to the Rebels’ 2023 class. Ole Miss RB Zach Evans has yet to announce whether or not he will return to the team this fall or declare for the 2023 NFL draft, so the commitment of Reescano becomes all the more important.
Reescano was a standout this fall, rushing for 1,849 yards at New Caney — and adding 249 more as a receiver.
He tallied 36 touchdowns in his final season and rushed for at least 1,000 yards three out of his four years in high school.

Ole Miss now holds 14 verbal commitments in the class of 2023.
