Diamond Rebels Move Up to No. 1 in D1Baseball Top 25 Rankings

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss baseball has moved up one spot to the No. 1 in the country in this week’s D1Baseball Top 25 Rankings. The Diamond Rebels were No. 2 last week and ascended to the top spot after a midweek win over Alcorn State and a series victory over Oral Roberts.

The weekend series win was the fourth straight of the season for head coach Mike Bianco’s squad.

There are eight Southeastern Conference teams in this week’s rankings: Ole Miss (1), Arkansas (3), Vanderbilt (4), Tennessee (7), Florida (9), LSU (13), Georgia (20), and Mississippi State (23).

Ole Miss is in the Top 5 of the other major polls, coming in at No. 2 in Baseball America’s rankings and No. 4 in Perfect Game’s.
