Ole Miss lands at No. 14 in CBSSports.com preseason rankings

CBSSports.com released its preseason college football rankings for 2015 on Tuesday morning, placing Ole Miss at No. 14 out of 128 teams.

The Rebels have received similar treatment when it comes to rankings in recent weeks. Ole Miss is ranked No. 13 in the Amway Preseason Top 25 Coaches poll and No. 15 in Sports Illustrated’s Top 25 poll.

The Southeastern Conference stands out the most in the poll with three teams in the top eight and seven in the top 25. Iron Bowl mates Alabama (4) and Auburn (6) led the way for the SEC.

Georgia (8), Arkansas (21), Missouri (22), and LSU (24) were the other SEC schools mentioned inside the top 25. Mississippi State (26), Tennessee (27), Texas A&M (29), South Carolina (35), and Florida (37) cracked the top 50.

Kentucky (68) and Vanderbilt (90) received the lowest rankings out of all the SEC teams.

The college football season is set for take-off on September 3 but the Rebels will open up their season September 5 against Tennessee-Martin.
