The Amway Preseason Coaches Poll was released Thursday, and the Ole Miss Rebels landed at No. 15.
Ole Miss joins seven other Southeastern Conference schools (No. 3 Alabama, No. 7 Auburn, No. 9 Georgia, No. 13 LSU, No. 20 Arkansas, No. 23 Missouri and No. 25 Tennessee) in this year’s top 25 poll.
Five of the ranked SEC schools are out of the SEC Western Division. Mississippi State and Texas A&M didn’t make the final cut but received 164 and 149 votes, respectively. This is the Rebels’ fifth highest ranking in the Amway Coaches Poll.
Defending national college football playoff champion Ohio State was the unanimous No. 1 team in the country, receiving 62 of 64 first-place votes. The TCU Horned Frogs and the Crimson Tide received the other two first-place votes.
