Men’s Tennis Adds Niccolo Baroni for 2026-27 Season
OXFORD, Miss. (Release)– Ole Miss men’s tennis head coach Jake Jacoby and his staff continue to reload for the 2026-27 campaign, signing Niccolo Baroni on Wednesday.
“Niccolo is an incredible tennis player and an even better person,” coach Jacoby said. “His work ethic is the strongest I have ever seen, and he is such a positive impact on everyone around him on and off the court. His determination and hunger are so inspiring, and I am beyond thrilled that he is joining the team. I can’t wait for him to be here in August. Hotty Toddy!”
The Viareggio, Italy, native will be transferring in after playing two seasons for in-state rival Mississippi State. This past season, Baroni was part of a roster that reached the Quarterfinals of the 2025-26 NCAA Championship. As a true freshman, he earned Second Team All-SEC and All-SEC Freshman Team honors at Mississippi State.
Baroni joins Igor Kudriashov, Moritz Kudernatsch and Mason Landreth as the fourth addition for the Rebels out of the transfer portal, along with returners Stefano D’Agostino, Pietro Pampanin, Vlado Jankanj, and Kai Milburn. Ole Miss currently has eight student-athletes on its 2026-27 roster.
