
Chris Beard, Ole Miss receive commit from French guard Ilias Kamardine

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss men’s basketball on Tuesday received an international commitment from French guard Ilias Kamardine, a 6-foot-5 combo guard.
Kamardine, who will be 22 in October, joins forward Augusto Cassia who committed Monday, as well as LSU forward Corey Chest and guards AJ Storr (Kansas) and Koren Johnson (Louisville).
The Rebels will also bring true freshman Tyler Jordan and shooting guard Patton Pinkins to next season’s team as members of the 2025 class.
Kamardine, who plays for Dijon in Pro A, is a former MVP and tournament champion at FIBA U20 Eurobasket. He averaged 8.0 points, 2.4 assists, one steal and 2.4 rebounds in the EuroCup this season. He averaged 43.4 percent from the floor, 39 percent from long range and 79 percent from the free throw line.
While head coach Chris Beard and the Rebels return forward Malik Dia and guard Eduardo Klafke, they are now looking to reshape the roster and reload after losing talented players such as Matthew Murrell, Jaemyn Brakefield, Sean Pedulla, JuJu Murry, Davon Barnes, Mikeal Brown-Jones, and Dre Davis who exhausted their eligibility. John Bol and Robert Cowherd and have entered the portal.
In 2024-2025, Chris Beard’s second season in Oxford, the Rebels won 24 games and made it to the Sweet 16.
