OXFORD, Miss. – With the conclusion of the 2025 winter transfer portal window, the Ole Miss class ranks No. 2 in the nation and includes several future NFL Draft picks. As we inch closer to the start of spring practice, The Rebel Walk is highlighting these players and their effectiveness on the field so fans can get to know the newcomers.

Career Outlook
The 2023 graduate and Baltimore native played high school football at St. Frances Academy, one of the best high school programs in the entire country. Prior to his commitment to LSU, Womack spent time on visits to Oregon, Ole Miss, Georgia, and many other Power Four programs. After signing with the Tigers, Womack enrolled and spent two years of eligibility in Baton Rouge over the 2023-2024 seasons.
In his time under LSU head coach Brian Kelly, Womack totaled 23 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 4 pass deflections, one of which occurred against the Rebels. With two additional years of eligibility, here’s what you can expect from Womack in red and blue.
2025 Impact
Playing under Randall Joyner and Pete Golding, it’s implied that Womack will be used in critical pass-rushing situations on third downs, similar to Princely Umanmielen. With his 6-foot-5, 255-pound frame, Womack has the potential to be effective in numerous spots along the defensive front, just as we saw with players like Jared Ivey and JJ Pegues this past fall.
Though Da’Shawn was primarily a rotational player for LSU, Ole Miss is losing nearly every starting defensive lineman to the NFL draft, making his presence vital for Randall Joyner’s unit.
