Ole Miss football remains at No. 15 in AP Top 25; every other SEC team moves up

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss football remained at No. 15 in this week’s Associated Press Top 25. The Rebels defeated Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl, 26-14, on Friday in Vaught-Hemingway.

There are seven Southeastern Conference teams in the AP rankings, including: Texas (No. 2, up one spot), Georgia (No. 5, up one spot), Tennessee (No. 6, up one spot), Alabama (No. 11, up two spots), South Carolina (No. 13, up two spots), Ole Miss (No. 15, remained the same), and Missouri (No. 22, up two spots). 

The Rebels now sit at 9-3, 5-3 (SEC) and await Tuesday night’s College Football Playoff Committee rankings, the ensuing conference championships, and the final CFP rankings to find out whether they will have an opening into the top 12 or, if not, what bowl game they will be in.
