BREAKING: Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss receive commitment from 2025 four-star wide receiver Dillon Alfred

OXFORD, Miss. — Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss football picked up a big-time 2025 commit Tuesday afternoon, receiving a pledge from Saraland (Ala.) High School wide receiver Dillon Alfred who arrived in Oxford Monday for his two-day visit. He also attended the Rebels’ Junior Day on February 3.

“I knew it was home since I got here,” Alfred told On3 recently.

They were the first ones that believed in me, and they kept on being consistent and keeping a good relationship with me. They’ve developed so many good receivers here that went to the NFL, and that made a big impact.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Alfred is the No. 17 overall player in the state of Alabama’s 2025 class, according to 247Sports. He’s originally from Gautier, Miss., and he attended high school there through his sophomore season.

That sophomore year at Gautier saw Alfred notched 58 receptions for 1,310 yards and 16 TDs.  When he moved to Saraland, he helped his new team finish as runner-up in Alabama in 6A football, catching 35 passes for 586 yards and six touchdowns.

Alfred had offers from and chose Ole Miss over: Texas A&M, Missouri, Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Houston, Penn State, Troy, Tulane, Central Florida, South Florida, Georgia State and UAB.

He joins the other Ole Miss 2025 commits, running back Aylin Dear from Quitman, Miss., EDGE Talib Graham from Daphne, Ala., and linebacker Corey Amos from Opelousas, La.

Alfred continues a tradition of top wide receivers in Oxford. Last year, Lane Kiffin’s trio of Tre Harris, Dayton Wade and Jordan Watkins all notched over 700 yards apiece, making the Rebels the only school in the league with three receivers to surpass that mark.
