Lane Kiffin, Rebels get huge commit from transfer portal No. 3-overall player in EDGE Princely Umanmielen

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss football, Lane Kiffin, and Pete Golding continued their hot streak by adding the No. 3 overall player in the transfer portal in EDGE Princely Umanmielen on Friday.

Princely, a transfer from the University of Florida, is 6’5 and weighs 255 pounds.

In 2023, the Manor High School (Manor, Texas) native started all 12 games for the Gators and led their defense with 11.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and 17 quarterback hurries. He also posted back-to-back seasons with 39 total tackles, which turned out to be the most on the Gator defensive line this past season.

Following the 2023 season, Princely was also named to the Coaches All-SEC Second team.

From the moment that Umanmielen entered the portal, Rebels’ defensive line coach Randall Joyner and defensive coordinator Pete Golding were in constant communication with the stud. The Rebs were able to get him in town for a visit on Monday, December 11th, where they apparently closed the deal.

Umanmielen will likely be a day-one starter and make an impact the second he touches the field. Ole Miss has gotten yet another crucial commitment, and we are barely a week into the transfer portal. Hotty Toddy Rebel fans!
