NFL Rebels Update: How Former Ole Miss Players Performed in Week 5

OXFORD, Miss. – (Release) The Ole Miss football program continues to shine in the professional league with 31 former Rebels on NFL rosters (practice squads included), including star wideouts AJ Brown, D.K. Metcalf and Elijah Moore.

This past week, AJ Brown put on a performance for spectators as he led the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles in receiving yards at 127, his third consecutive game with over 100 offensive yards.

Overall, 17 alumni played for Week 5 of competition. Here’s a rundown of how each NFL Rebel performed:

#34 Brandon Bolden | RB | Las Vegas Raiders
Appeared on 18 snaps on special teams in the Raiders 17-13 win to the Packers.

#64 Nick Broeker | OG | Houston Texans
Did not see any action in Week 5.

#11 AJ Brown | WR | Philadelphia Eagles 
Caught six passes for a total of 127 yards in a 23-14 win over the Rams to help lead the Eagles to 5-0.

#76 Ben Brown | OG/OC | Seattle Seahawks 
Did not see any action during Week 5.

#45 Chance Campbell | ILB | Tennessee Titans 
Saw the field for the third week in a row, playing for 13 snaps on special teams.

#21 Zach Evans | RB | Los Angeles Rams 
Was fielded for the first time this season on special teams for one kick return snap.

#17 Evan Engram | TE | Jacksonville Jaguars 
Caught four passes for a total of 28 yards in a 25-20 win over the Bills.

#24 AJ Finley | S | Los Angeles Chargers 
Chargers were on their bye-week during Week 5.

#21 Mike Hilton | CB | Cincinnati Bengals
Recorded four tackles in a win over the Cardinals.

#18 Malik Heath | WR | Green Bay Packers
Did not see any action during Week 5.

#94 Benito Jones | DT | Detroit Lions 
Recorded one quarterback hit on 50 snaps in a dominant win against the Panthers.

#97 D.J. Jones | DT | Denver Broncos 
Recorded one tackle on 12 snaps against the Jets.

#31 Jaylon Jones | CB | Chicago Bears 
Competed for 40 snaps, 18 being defensive, and recorded three tackles and two quarterback pressures in a 40-20 win versus the Commanders.

#88 Dawson Knox | TE | Buffalo Bills 
Caught three passes for 17 yards against the Jaguars.

#33 Deane Leonard | CB | Los Angeles Chargers 
Chargers were on their bye-week during Week 5.

#14 D.K. Metcalf | WR | Seattle Seahawks 
Seahawks were on their bye-week during Week 5.

#15 Jonathon Mingo | WR | Carolina Panthers
Hauled in five receptions for a season-high of 48 yards against the Lions.

#8 Elijah Moore | WR | Cleveland Browns
Browns were on their bye-week during Week 5.

#70 Royce Newman | OL | Green Bay Packers
Played three snaps on special teams.

#93 Mark Robinson | LB | Pittsburgh Steelers
Saw action on 20 snaps on special teams in a 17-10 win against the Ravens.

#95 Tavius Robinson | OLB | Baltimore Ravens 
Competed for 44 percent of defensive snaps against the Steelers.

#78 Laremy Tunsil | OT | Houston Texans 
Returned to the field after sitting out the past three weeks and started at left tackle, receiving a 89.9 pass block grade.

#54 Sam Williams | DE | Dallas Cowboys
Brought down a tackle on 20 defensive snaps against the 49ers.
