Reports: Chris Kiffin set to return to Ole Miss, joining brother and head coach Lane Kiffin
OXFORD, Miss. — Multiple reports indicate Chris Kiffin is set to return to Ole Miss, joining his brother and head coach Lane Kiffin’s staff. This was first reported Thursday by Chase Parham of Rivals.
Chris Kiffin served as the defensive line coach for the Rebels under head coach Hugh Freeze from 2012-2017, so when announced this will mark the second time the younger Kiffin will coach at Ole Miss.
When he left Ole Miss in 2017, it was to join Lane’s staff at FAU as the defensive coordinator. Chris also worked for Lane in 2010 as a defensive assistant, so this will be their third stint coaching together.
Most recently, Chris has been the defensive line coach for the Cleveland Browns since February, 2020.
From what we are hearing, Chris is set to work with the Ole Miss linebackers and potentially serve as co-defensive coordinator. We will keep you posted on this exciting staff addition!
