Ole Miss defensive back Tylan Knight enters the Transfer Portal

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss defensive back and fan favorite Tylan Knight has officially entered the transfer portal, the 15th Rebel to do so following the 2021 season.

The Pearl (Miss.) High School grad played in 13 games this season and recorded 37 total tackles with one pass breakup and two fumble recoveries.

Before signing with Ole Miss in the 2018 class, Knight had offers from Southern Miss, South Alabama and Louisiana-Lafayette.

While with the Rebels, Knight was willing to switch positions and play wherever his team needed. He initially began his tenure in Oxford as a running back but was switched to the defensive side of the ball. As a true freshman, he rushed for 107 yards on 19 carries, while as a defensive back, he notched 16 tackles.

The following spring, Knight went back to the offensive side of the ball — before later returning to defensive back.
