Ole Miss Offensive Lineman Carius Curne’s Legal Situation Resolved; Three Charges Dropped
OXFORD, Miss. — The legal situation involving Ole Miss offensive lineman Carius Curne has reached resolution following his arrest last week on multiple charges in Arkansas.
According to public records obtained April 27, Curne entered a no-contest plea on three charges stemming from the April 25 incident. Those charges included reckless driving, fleeing on foot, and speeding more than 15 miles per hour over the posted limit.
The remaining three charges — improper passing (driving on the shoulder), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance — were dismissed, per court documents.
Curne, who was taken into custody by Arkansas State Police, was released less than two hours after his arrest.
Court records show the sophomore offensive lineman paid a total fine of $2,150, which was filed at 1:45 p.m. as part of the case resolution.
Curne joined Ole Miss during the offseason after transferring from LSU. The 6-foot-5, 330-pound tackle appeared in eight games for the Tigers during the 2025 season and is expected to compete for a role along the Rebels’ offensive line.
Earlier Monday, head coach Pete Golding was asked about the situation during a spring press conference but indicated the program would allow the legal process to play out before commenting further.
“Obviously it’s a legal matter,” Golding said. “We’re still gathering information on it. Really can’t speak on that right now. We’ll let the legal process run its course and see what happens.”
