Former Ole Miss Rebel Cotie McMahon Selected 11th Overall in 2026 WNBA Draft by Washington
OXFORD, Miss. — Former Ole Miss Rebels forward Cotie McMahon was selected with the No. 11th overall pick in the first round by the Washington Mystics of the WNBA Draft on Monday night.

McMahon now becomes the fifth Rebel to be selected in the first round of the WNBA draft, joining elite names like Armintie Price (3rd overall, 2007), Bianca Thomas (12th overall, 2010), Shakira Austin (3rd overall, 2022), and Marquesha Davis (11th overall, 2024).

The superstar forward spent her final season of college basketball with Ole Miss after three seasons at Ohio State. Ultimately, she saved her best season for last, as she averaged 19.5 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, and 3.0 assists per game offensively, while showing off solid hands on defense, averaging a little over one steal per game.
For her career, however, she averaged 16.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg, and 2.4 apg, while shooting 46.5% from the field, allowing her total of 2,187 points in her collegiate career.
McMahon has been a superstar since day one, starting every single game of her career, beginning with 36 starts her freshman year, 32 in her sophomore year, 29 her junior year, and 36 her senior year for a total of 133 collegiate starts.
Out of Centerville High School in Dayton, Ohio, the 6-foot forward is what Ole Miss head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin considers a “generational” talent.
“I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anything like that. Cotie’s a generational player.”
