New York Giants Sign Former Ole Miss WR Antwane “Juice” Wells as UDFA

Former Ole Miss wide receiver Antwane “Juice” Wells Jr. has been signed as an Undrafted Free Agent (UDFA) by the New York Giants. He joins former Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart who was drafted by the Giants in the first round of the draft on Friday.

Wells, who transferred from South Carolina to Ole Miss prior to the 2024 season, is a versatile receiver who can create explosive plays in a variety of ways for an offense.

The 6-foot, 205-pounder owns a solid blend of quickness, agility, play strength and speed, and he’s a threat to produce a big play whenever he touches the ball. He’s actually a threat both down the field and with the ball in his hands for YAC.

College Career

Juice played in all 13 games for the Rebels last season and started at wide receiver in seven. He was fourth on the team in both receptions (28) and yards (553), third on the team with six receiving touchdowns.

He rushed five times for four yards and was fifth on the team with 557 all-purpose yards. He helped push the Rebels to team school records in total yards (6,845), yards per play (7.3), passing yards (4,561) and passing yards per game (350.8).

  • Preseason All-America Honorable Mention (CFN)

While South Carolina used him on bubble screens, Ole Miss used him as a vertical threat. In 2024, Wells averaged the sixth largest average depth of target at 17.8 yards downfield (per PFF).

NFL Future

Wells is projected by many experts as a rotational receiver who has starting upside in the right situation. He could be considered a real threat in any offense that schemes him catch-and-run opportunities. His ball skills make him a threat down the field on vertical routes.
