Clinching a No. 7 finish in the SEC, Ole Miss earned a bye and will open the tournament by playing the winner of Missouri and Mississippi State on Thursday, March 6 at approximately 5:00 p.m. CT, on SEC Network.

The semifinals and finals are set for March 8 at 6:00 p.m. CT and March 9 at 2:00 p.m., respectively, as Ole Miss hopes to make a run late into the week.

REBELS IN THE SEC TOURNAMENT

Since the inception of the SEC Women’s Basketball tournament in 1980, Ole Miss owns a record of 30-43. The Rebels have reached 12 semifinals and two final games in program history.

As Ole Miss competes in the second round on Thursday, the Rebels will be searching for its fifth consecutive quarterfinals appearance.

In tournament games in Greenville, the Rebels are 4-7, earning wins in the quarterfinal rounds of the 2024, 2023 and 2021 tournaments.

WE AIN’T SCARED

Sitting in the Top 15 in the NET Rankings since January 9, 2025, the Rebels recently came in at No. 12. Ole Miss also holds the fourth toughest strength of schedule among DI programs in the nation, facing ten ranked opponents so far and five of the top ten teams in the NET Rankings.

A HISTORIC SEASON

After the Rebels’ second top-10 of the season at No. 7 LSU to finish off the regular season, head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin has led the Rebels to four consecutive seasons of double-digit SEC wins, starting in the 2021-22 season. McPhee-McCuin becomes the program’s first head coach to guide Ole Miss to four consecutive 10-plus conference wins.

Along with beating the Tigers, Ole Miss took down No. 8 Kentucky to become the first Rebel squad to win multiple games against top 10 opponents since the 2006-07 season, when that team beat three.

Ole Miss also showed up and showed out in the nonconference slate of the 2024-25 season, earning three program records.

The Rebels allowed the fewest points in program history twice as it kept Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Alabama State to just 24 points each. Yolett McPhee-McCuin‘s teams now hold the top three spots in the record books of the fewest points allowed in Ole Miss history. The Rebels are also the only squad in the SEC to force two opponents to sub-30 points.

Ole Miss’ last win in November was a convincing one. By defeating Alabama State by 65 points at the SJB Pavilion, it marks the widest margin of victory in program history.

AMONG THE BEST IN THE SEC

With the regular season officially concluded, postseason accolades have started to roll in for the Rebels, as Madison Scott has been named to the All-SEC Second Team and Sira Thienou to the All-Freshman Team.

Scott becomes the 20th Rebel in program history to earn second team accolades and it marks the second time she has earned the award of its kind in her career, also securing a spot during the 2022-23 season. Overall, it marks the graduate student’s seventh conference honor in her five-year tenure at Ole Miss, as Scott has been named to the All-SEC First Team, the All-Defensive team twice, the All-Freshman team and was honored as the Freshman of the Year during the 2020-21 season.

Thienou is the first Rebel since Scott to garner All-Freshmen honors and the 14th freshman in Ole Miss’ history to earn the recognition.
