Despite 4-0 week, Ole Miss Baseball Stays Put in D1 Baseball Rankings

OXFORD, Miss. — The Ole Miss Rebels baseball team finished 4-0 last week, including a weekend series sweep over rivals and then-No. 24 LSU Tigers. However, it wasn’t enough to move the needle on the D1 Baseball rankings as they kept head coach Mike Bianco’s team at No. 25 again this week.

Ole Miss (26-11 overall, 8-7 in SEC) staying put at 25 came as a surprise to a large portion of the fanbase, especially with the Rebels now moving up to No. 13 in the nation in RPI.

Ole Miss’ weekend sweep over the Tigers entailed a 6-3 win on Friday, a 12-2 run-rule win on Saturday, and an 8-7 win on Sunday for their fifth straight win.

Ole Miss is among the ten SEC teams to be listed inside the Top 25 alongside: No. 4 Texas, No. 5 Georgia, No. 10 Texas A&M, No. 11 Alabama, No. 13 Auburn, No. 14 Oklahoma, No. 16 Arkansas, No. 17 Mississippi State, No. 20 Florida and No. 25 Ole Miss.
