Transfer portal’s No. 2 tight end Luke Hasz in Oxford for official visit
OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss is hot in the transfer portal market, after already receiving commitments from Da’Shawn Womack (LSU), PJ Wilkins (Charlotte) and Patrick Kutas (Arkansas) since Monday’s portal opening. Now, Arkansas tight end Luke Hasz is also in Oxford for his official visit.
Hasz is joined on campus with the No. 1 overall transfer portal player, Eric Singleton (Georgia Tech), who is also there.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Hasz is the No. 2-ranked tight end in the portal and would be a huge addition to Lane Kiffin’s offense following the departure to the NFL of Caden Prieskorn.
Hasz will have two years of eligibility remaining.
The Bixby, Oklahoma native, a recruit from the class of 2023, was a four-star prospect who was considered the No. 12 tight end in the nation. He was a triple-sport athlete in high school, playing basketball and track in addition to football.
In his sophomore year for the Razorbacks this past season, Hasz notched 26 receptions for 324 yards and four touchdowns, leading Arkansas in TD catches. In his 17 games played for the Hogs during his career, Hasz recorded 42 catches for 577 yards and seven TDs.
