Fischer’s third home run came in the eighth inning when the Rebels broke the game wide open, scoring eight in the frame.
“An 8-run eighth inning for us there kind of makes a statement that we’re not just going to be okay with a 4-3 victory,” Fisher said after the game.

After the game, Fischer gave the Rebel coaching credit for the team’s offensive success.
“Props to our hitting coaches for just really preparing us before these series. They put in a lot of time and a lot of work, and that’s another reason you come to a school like this. This whole weekend I felt like I faced all of these guys 100 times over before I actually see them for the first time out there because of how prepared we are.”

The Rebel Walk also spoke with Brian Fischer, the father of Andrew, to catch his thoughts on the dominating performance from his son today.
“Pure emotion of excitement and pride, but more happy for him to be able to contribute to the team win. I’ve been able to watch and support him for so many years, but on this stage it’s just magnified beyond belief.“
