Ole Miss’ Deantre Prince, Cedric Johnson and Daijahn Anthony set to participate in NFL Combine Starting Thursday

OXFORD, Miss. — The road to the NFL officially begins this week for three Ole Miss football players who are in Indianapolis to participate in the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.

Daijahn Anthony, Cedric Johnson and Deantre Prince each received an invitation to the combine, where there will be more than 600 NFL personnel from all 32 teams who will be in attendance to evaluate the trio of Rebels along with 300 of the nation’s top college players in the country.

Anthony, Johnson and Prince will all go through an extensive series of drills, workouts, testing and measurements in front of league scouts and personnel at Lucas Oil Stadium beginning Thursday, Feb. 29. All drills and workouts will be available on NFL Network, NFL+ and NFL.com.

Anthony, Johnson, and Prince will return to Oxford after the Combine to participate in Ole Miss’ annual Pro Day on March 27.

Cedric Johnson

Johnson is a four-year letterwinner for Ole Miss who appeared in 46 career games at for the Rebels, starting 29. The winner of the 2023 Chucky Mullins Courage Award, Johnson saw action in 12 games with 10 starts last season. He earned honorable mention All-SEC honors from the College Football Network as he tallied 40 total tackles on the season, with 6.5 sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss. He led the team with 12 quarterback hurries in 2023.

Daijahn Anthony

Anthony, a transfer from Liberty, made an immediate impact for the Ole Miss defense in his lone season in a Rebel uniform. The Richmond, Virginia, native appeared in all 13 games with 10 starts in the Rebel defensive backfield. He finished fourth on the team with 61 tackles and tied for the team lead with three interceptions and eight pass breakups. He also earned the start at safety in the East-West Shrine Bowl, tallying two tackles.

Deantre Prince

Prince was a stalwart at the cornerback spot for the Rebel defense in his four seasons in Oxford. The Charleston, Mississippi, native appeared in 51 total games and started 36 contests for Ole Miss. He finished his collegiate career with six total interceptions and 100-plus tackles. In 2023, Prince started all 13 games at cornerback and registered 36 total tackles and one interception on the season.

March 1: 2 p.m. CT (Defensive Backs, Tight Ends) – Deantre Prince and Daijahn Anthony
March 2: Noon CT (Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers, Running Backs)
March 3: Noon CT (Offensive Line)

The NFL Combine will air on NFL Network and stream on NFL+.
