The wide receiver will use his final year of eligibility to play in a Rebel uniform alongside Jordan Watkins, who announced last week that he’d be doing the same.
Even with the success of the transfer portal, this is without a doubt some of the best news yet for this Ole Miss team.
In the first game that Harris played in the red and blue, he scored four touchdowns, a program record, and averaged 22.2 yards per catch.
Even after battling an injury early in the season, Harris was able to finish the year as the leading receiver in yards, yards per catch, and touchdowns. Tre collected 851 yards, and had he stayed healthy, he would’ve easily cleared 1,000, something you can bet he is going to attempt next season.
Harris’ two biggest performances also happened to come in two of the most-contested games of the year. In Ole Miss’ 55-49 win against LSU, Harris had eight receptions for 153 yards while scoring the game-winning touchdown.
Later in the year, when Ole Miss defeated Texas A&M, 38-35, Tre caught for a season-high of 213 yards and, of course, a touchdown.
#OleMiss WR Tre Harris deserves more #NFLDraft attention.

The threat of Harris alongside Jordan Watkins, JUCO transfer wide receiver Deion Smith, returning sophomore WR Ayden Williams, tight end Caden Prieskorn — who also announced he will be returning — and possibly South Carolina transfer Juice Wells, should he choose the Rebels, easily makes the Ole Miss receiving room one of the most talented in the country.
This will be a very entertaining group to watch in 2024, Rebel fans!
