Ole Miss Men’s Basketball set to take on Temple on the road

OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss men’s basketball team heads to the ‘City of Brotherly Love,’ Philadelphia, to take on the Temple Owls on Wednesday. Tipoff is slated for 2:30 p.m. and the game can be seen on ESPN+.

Ole Miss (4-0, 0-0 SEC) is coming off a 70-67 win over Sam Houston on Friday night in a throwback game in the Tad Smith Coliseum. Ole Miss was led in the game by senior transfer Allen Flanigan with 23 points.

This season, as a team, Ole Miss is averaging 71.0 points per game and holding their opponents to 64.8 points a contest.

The Rebels are led in scoring by Flanigan with 18.8 points. Two other teammates are averaging double figures when they step on the court: Matthew Murrell (15.0) and Jaylen Murray (12.8).

Temple (3-1, 0-0 AAC) heads in after its first loss of the season, 78-73, to Columbia.

The Owls have three players averaging double figures on the season led by Hysier Miller with 20 points. His teammates Jahil White and Matteo Picarelli are on his heels with 14.0 and 13.8, respectively.

Temple is averaging 74.8 points per game as an offense.

Wednesday’s matchup will be the sixth all-time meeting between the two programs. Temple leads the series at 3-2, but Ole Miss won the last meeting, 63-55, on December 17, 2022 in Oxford.
