Tim Elko speaks to fans, teammates and coaches at CWS Championship Celebration at Swayze
OXFORD, Miss. — Tim Elko, the only three-year captain of the Ole Miss baseball team in school history, was among those who spoke at the celebration at Swayze Field Wednesday that honored the 2022 National Championship Rebel team.
Here’s what he had to say:

Build the Statue
For over a year now, fans have lobbied Athletics Director Keith Carter for a statue of Tim Elko to be erected, often-times with calls to “build it” going out on social media. At the celebration, Carter spoke music to fans’ ears:
