Five Ole Miss Rebels are on the 2016 Preseason Coaches All-SEC teams as announced by the Southeastern Conference Thursday morning.
Quarterback Chad Kelly was named first-team quarterback and was joined on the offense by tight end Evan Engram who was named second-team.
Defensively, DB Tony Conner was named All-SEC second-team, while DE Marquis Haynes and PK Gary Wunderlich were named to the All-SEC third-team.
This is the 14th consecutive year of the SEC Coaches Preseason All-SEC Team, and all 14 of the league’s schools were represented–including eight schools with six or more selections. Nine SEC schools had at least one First-Team All-SEC selection, including a conference-best six from Alabama. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.
