Former 5-star, Alabama transfer WR Caleb Odom sets visit date to Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. — Alabama transfer wide receiver Caleb Odom has set visit dates to Ole Miss. The former 5-star from Carrollton (Ga.) will be in Oxford December 20-21. He officially entered the transfer portal Monday.

The 6-foot-5, 227-pound Odom, for of a hybrid wide receiver/tight end, is visiting Miami on December 17 and Colorado this weekend — giving the Rebels and Lane Kiffin the last chance to make their case.

Odom was a true freshman this past season for the Tide and played in all 12 of their games, catching seven passes for 65 yards.

While Odom signed with an Alabama team that had Nick Saban as the head coach before his retirement, Odom also was recruited by Tide position coach, Joe Cox — who is now on Lane Kiffin’s staff at Ole Miss.

Out of high school, Odom was rated No. 1 at tight end in the 2024 recruiting class. He was considered the No. 30 overall player at any position for the class. He enrolled early at Alabama and new head coach Kalen DeBoer and staff moved him to wide receiver.

One thing to watch — Odom was a high school teammate of quarterback Julian Lewis, the No. 6 QB in the Class of 2025. Lewis recently flipped his commit from USC to Colorado. As we mentioned above, Odom will take a visit to Colorado this weekend. However, keep in mind, the Rebels were very, very close to getting Odom the first go-around, so it will be interesting to watch.

Hotty Toddy!
