Wednesday Availability Report | Ole Miss vs. South Carolina
OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss listed 25 total players on Wednesday’s availability report, including seven players already out for Saturday afternoon’s game.
“This availability reporting policy is intended to reduce pressure from outside entities seeking participation information and represents a commitment of our 16 institutions to provide enhanced transparency to support efforts to protect our student-athletes and the integrity of competition,” said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey of the new reporting system.
“It’s on to the next game,” head coach Lane Kiffin said this week. “This is a big challenge going up against really good players in a hard place to play, a really good scheme and could easily could be a top-12 team the way they beat Kentucky and, if it wasn’t for a penalty, they have LSU beat by two scores. These guys are really, really good,” Kiffin said of the Gamecocks.
South Carolina has only five total players listed on the report and just one listed as out, but the Gamecocks are coming off a bye week.
