OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, junior quarterback Jaxson Dart and senior cornerback Zamari Walton met with the media after the Rebels’ 24-10 loss to Alabama.

“I’m disappointed in the result. We came in here to win, and we didn’t do that today,” Kiffin said. “We don’t get these guys again until next year. Just more missed opportunities… I thought this was really our shot to beat these guys. I just thought there were things we could do, and we didn’t get it done,” Kiffin continued.

Dart was 20-for-35 through the air for 244 yards, adding his sixth career rushing touchdown.

“I just felt like we missed out on big opportunities,” the Rebel quarterback explained.

Had some momentum shifts and weren’t able to capitalize on them. Then when things didn’t go our way, we weren’t able to weather the storm and I thought that was the biggest thing in the second half.”

Zamari Walton, a transfer from Georgia Tech, recorded his first interception as a Rebel in Saturday’s game against the Tide. He also led the Rebels in tackles with five.

“I think there (were) a lot of missed opportunities as far as tackling (and) we didn’t get the ball as much as we wanted to in the second half,” Walton said after the game. “I think they were just getting good yardage with the run. I think they were just going to keep doing it until we stopped it. They ran the ball pretty well (and) we weren’t able to stop it, so they just kept running.”
