Coleman Hutzler Joins Ole Miss Staff as Special Teams Coordinator

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss football has a new special teams coordinator, with the Rebels on Thursday announcing the hire of Coleman Hutzler.

Hutzler, who left the University of Texas to join Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin’s staff, replaces Blake Gideon as the special teams coordinator for the Rebels.

He also spent time at South Carolina and two stints at Florida. From 2010-11, Hutzler was an assistant to the linebackers and special teams coordinator for the Gators, then again for the 2014 season, handling special teams and outside linebackers. While with Florida, Hutzler worked with Ole Miss co-defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin.

Hutzler brings a decade of experience to Oxford

Hutzler brings 10 overall years of experience as a special teams coordinator with him to Ole Miss, having spent seven of those in the SEC.
