Former Ole Miss WR De’Zhaun Stribling Shines at the NFL Combine
OXFORD, Miss. — Former Ole Miss wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling had an impressive day at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, running a 4.36 40-yard dash (official time), among other impressive scores.

Out of all of the receivers who ran the 40, Stribling was the eighth-fastest, beating known speedsters like Malik Benson from Oregon and Barion Brown from LSU. A player who plays the way Stribling does should not be able to move like that. His combine was reminiscent, albeit maybe not quite as much of a freak of nature, of DK Metcalf’s spectacular combine performance.
Likely no one will best Metcalf’s performance, but Stribling tried, also recording a 10’7″ broad jump, good for 11th in the class, and a 36″ vertical jump, good for 17th in the class. In the RAS, short for Relative Athletic Score, which is a metric used to put into perspective a player’s overall day at the combine, Stribling tallied a 9.88 out of a possible 10. This would put him 47th out of 3,844 receivers over the last 39 years from 1987 to 2026.
De’Zhaun Stribling is a WR prospect in the 2026 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.88 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 47 out of 3844 WR from 1987 to 2026.

A lot of that performance is held up by his 40 time. His body, according to RAS, was graded out as good, but his 40, which takes into account his body, is graded out as elite. His explosiveness, which includes his broad jump and vertical jump, grades out as great as well. Now that’s a lot of nerd stuff and very in the weeds of it all, but to make the point bluntly, Stribling had himself quite the day and definitely opened some eyes!
We all know what Stribling can do on the field, and while he didn’t do any on-field drills at the combine, I’d argue he didn’t really need to. He had such a good day testing, his stock was already raised as high as the combine could raise it. With a performance like this and a Pro Day at Ole Miss still to come, Stribling could easily insert himself into the upper echelon of receivers in this class.

It will be intriguing to see what Stribling does at his Pro Day in Oxford. The date for that has yet to be announced, but The Rebel Walk will be there and bring you all the action!
