OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss has added a battle-tested anchor to its offensive line, landing former Oklahoma center Troy Everett out of the transfer portal.
Everett arrives in Oxford with incredible experience. He spent three years in Norman after spending two seasons with Appalachian State. He redshirted in 2021 at App State before earning Second-Team All-American honors from The Athletic in 2022. He then transferred to Oklahoma in 2023, playing in eight games two years ago (2024) and two in 2025 before suffering a season-ending knee injury.
During his time with the Sooners, the veteran lineman served as a steady presence in one of college football’s most demanding environments before now opting for a new chapter in the SEC. He is expected to receive a sixth year of eligibility after applying for a medical redshirt, giving Ole Miss both immediate help and valuable continuity up front.
For a Rebels team reshaping its offensive line following a deep postseason run, Everett checks every box. He brings experience calling protections, handling interior pressure, and operating within complex offensive schemes — all traits that become even more valuable as Ole Miss works to replace departed veterans along the line.
Everett has already proven he can handle the responsibility at center at a blue-blood program, and now he’ll be asked to help an Ole Miss offensive line that could use him on the interior. He gives Ole Miss a proven option in the middle of the line and a leader with snaps, scars, and experience to match the moment.
