Seven Ole Miss players named to Coaches All-SEC Team
OXFORD — Ole Miss earned seven All-Southeastern Conference selections from the league’s 16 head coaches for the 2025 season, the SEC office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Running back Kewan Lacy (first team), kickoff specialist Lucas Carneiro (first team), quarterback Trinidad Chambliss (second team), tight end Dae’Quan Wright (second team), offensive lineman Diego Pounds (third team), defensive lineman Will Echoles (third team), and linebacker Princewill Umanmielen (third team) all received All-SEC honors.
Kewan Lacy
Lacy has been one of the nation’s top rushers throughout the Rebels’ 11–1 campaign, carrying the ball 258 times for 1,279 yards and 20 touchdowns. His 20 rushing scores shattered the previous program record of 16 set by Quinshon Judkins in 2022 and also broke the school’s all-purpose touchdown mark of 17, a record previously shared by Judkins (2022, ’23), Brandon Bolden (2010) and Deuce McAllister (2000). Lacy is now tied for ninth in Ole Miss history in career rushing touchdowns, and he is just one score shy of cracking the SEC’s single-season top-10 list. The Doak Walker Award finalist is also only the 12th player in SEC history to rush for 20 touchdowns in a season.
Lucas Carneiro
Carneiro has been outstanding on special teams, accounting for 73 of the Rebels’ SEC-leading 74 touchbacks. He enters bowl season among the nation’s top kickers, leading the SEC and ranking tied for fourth nationally with 114 total points — the fifth-highest single-season mark in Ole Miss history and the fourth-most ever by a Rebel kicker. Carneiro is 22-of-25 on field goals (88.0 percent), has a long of 54 yards, and remains perfect on PATs at 48-of-48.
Trinidad Chambliss
Chambliss has delivered a breakout year at quarterback, completing 218-of-333 passes (65.5 percent) for 3,016 yards, 18 touchdowns and only three interceptions, posting a 157.6 efficiency rating. He has also added 470 rushing yards and six scores on 118 attempts, pushing his total offense to 3,486 yards. Since taking over as the starter in Week Three, Chambliss is averaging 348.6 yards of total offense per game — including 300.0 per game in SEC play — and his 3,406 yards in that span rank third nationally behind USF’s Byrum Brown (3,584) and Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia (3,445). Among SEC quarterbacks this season, Chambliss stands second in yards per completion (13.8, No. 10 FBS), yards per attempt (9.1, No. 12 FBS), and passing efficiency (157.6, No. 18 FBS), while also ranking top-25 nationally in total offense (15th), passing yards (22nd), and passing yards per game (24th).
Dae’Quan Wright
Wright has been one of the SEC’s most explosive tight ends, leading the nation at the position with 16.30 yards per catch. His four receiving touchdowns are the second-most by any Rebel this season, and his eight career scores tie him for fifth-most among Ole Miss tight ends.
Diego Pounds
Pounds continues to anchor an offensive line that leads the SEC and ranks third nationally in total offense at 498.1 yards per game. The unit has allowed only 16 sacks all season, averaging just 1.33 per game.
Will Echoles
Echoles has put together the best season of his career, tallying 4.5 sacks — second-most on the team — along with eight tackles for loss and 51 total tackles, all career highs.
Princewill Umanmielen
Umanmielen leads the Rebels and sits tied for eighth in the SEC with 6.5 sacks. He has 10 tackles for loss on the year and recorded his first career interception in the Egg Bowl. He is just the second Rebel this season to notch both a sack and an interception in the same game, joining Zxavian Harris, who accomplished the feat against Georgia State.
