Ole Miss men’s basketball lands big commitment from 2026 4-star Yohance Connor
OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss head men’s basketball coach Chris Beard continues to grow his 2026 recruiting class, on Friday earning a commitment from Yohance Connor.

Connor, a four-star product, according to 247Sports, is from Charlotte, North Carolina, and has made a name for himself throughout the country. Connor attends Combine Academy, and has truly taken over the season for the Goats. Averaging 27.2 ppg this season, the 6-2 combo guard has earned respect from programs across the country.
The Carolina native chose Ole Miss over Texas A&M, Wake Forest, Houston, Seton Hall, Clemson, Oklahoma State, and many more.
Connor is ranked as the No. 104 recruit by 247Sports, and his resume has grown this season while teaming with OTE Elite team, Blue Checks, while shooting 54% from the field, and 42% from behind the arc with Overtime.

Connor’s explosiveness, and three level scoring ability is everything Chris Beard loves to have to help run his offense. But it’s not just the offensive performance that makes Connor stand out; his presence on defense is undeniable. Averaging 2.6 steals per game, his effort and energy continue to be a huge positive for his resume.
Connor joins three-star Jaron Saulsberry in the 2026 commitment class for Ole Miss.
Daylan is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas and currently a junior Journalism major at Ole Miss with an emphasis in sports media and a minor in history. In addition to his work for The Rebel Walk, Daylan is the creator of 'The Daylan Show,' a podcast that shares stories from people all over the sports and media world. He is an avid Arsenal, Cowboys, and St.Louis Cardinals fan. Daylan has a strong passion for photography, including many sporting events and photoshoots.
