Profiles of the 2025 Ole Miss Transfer Class: Former Arkansas tight end Luke Hasz

OXFORD, Miss. – With the conclusion of the 2025 winter transfer portal window, the Ole Miss transfer class ranks No. 2 in the nation and includes several future NFL Draft picks. As we inch closer to the start of spring practice on March 18, The Rebel Walk is highlighting these players and their effectiveness on the field so fans can get to know the newcomers.

To continue, let’s introduce Lane Kiffin’s tight end commit from the class, four-star Luke Hasz.

Hasz’ career before Ole Miss

Luke Hasz attended Bixby High School in Oklahoma where he was ranked as the No. 4 player in the state and the No. 12 tight end nationally. He initially committed to Oklahoma but later decommitted in favor of playing for Arkansas.

Hasz played two seasons with the Razorbacks, recording 42 catches for 577 yards and seven touchdowns.

In 2023, Hasz recorded an impressive freshman season, showcasing his potential before a broken collarbone in the fifth game of the season ended his campaign. Despite the injury, he was named to The Athletic’s Midseason Freshman All-America team. Over the five games he played, Hasz caught 16 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns. Hasz truly broke out in a game against LSU, where he had season highs with six catches, 116 yards, and two touchdowns, earning John Mackey Tight End of the Week honors. His season was cut short with a catch for 14 yards against Texas A&M before his injury.

In 2024 in his sophomore season, Hasz remained a key target for the Razorbacks. Against Ole Miss, he notched five receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown. At Mississippi State, Hasz caught four passes for 59 yards and two touchdowns, marking his second career multi-touchdown game.

He entered the transfer portal on December 6 as the No. 2-ranked tight end and committed to the Rebels on December 14.

2025 Impact

With the Rebs losing NFL talent in the form of tight end Caden Prieskorn, who is preparing for the NFL Draft, Hasz has some big shoes to fill. The talented former Razorback is an early enrollee has been on campus in Oxford since January.

The 2025 season will feature a dual-threat tight end room similar to last year with returning senior Dae’Quan Wright and now Luke Hasz.

Last year, Wright and Prieskorn had equal targets, with Prieskorn tallying seven more yards than Wright. This year, we can expect more of the same. Hasz will make an immediate impact for the Rebel offense with his speed, physicality, and route-running abilities. Anticipate Hasz to be a downfield threat with a solid presence in the red zone.

What’s Next?

Next up, we will discuss Nebraska edge rusher Princewill Umanmielen and the importance of his skills in the secondary.
