Talented 2026 wide receiver Zion Legree commits to Ole Miss after Rebels’ win over Georgia

OXFORD, Miss. — The week 11 showdown between Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels and the Georgia Bulldogs was nothing short of historic. Ole Miss won, 28-10, in dominating fashion — such that it really made an impression on recruits, including wide receiver Zion Legree who committed to the Rebels Monday.

A Class of 2026, 3-star wide receiver, Legree was one of many elite prospects on hand to take in a moment that will forever in Ole Miss football history, as fans stormed the field and tore down the goalposts. In that moment, Legree found himself coming to the realization that he had the opportunity to be a part of the next chapter of greatness as a Rebel.

The Pine Forest High School athlete out of Pensacola took to social media on Monday to announce his commitment to the Rebs.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder stands as the No. 64 overall athlete in his class and the No. 63 player to come out of the Sunshine state. Legree marks the Rebels’ first commitment of the 2026 class, and he likely won’t be the last after Saturday’s performance in Oxford.

He chose Ole Miss over: Georgia, Florida, Miami, Missouri, Mississippi State, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Washington, Kentucky, Tulane and Notre Dame, among others.

For young athletes like Legree, not only do you want to go to a place where you can compete but also a place where you can develop. It’s clear Lane Kiffin and his staff know how to help their players grow.

Legree brings speed and great hands. He has an ability to redirect himself on his routes so smoothly. He is physical and can maneuver to break through in tight situations to create plays for his team.

Not only did the exciting win and the Rebels’ coaching staff make an impression on Legree, but so did a future teammate who was at Saturday’s game, fellow Pensacolian and Ole Miss commit Ladarian Clardy.

We knew this game would make an impact, not just on the gridiron for Ole Miss but also on the recruiting trail.

Welcome to the Sip, Zion!
