Ole Miss Friday Availability Report | Four Rebels on Most-Recent Injury List as Team Prepares to Face Florida
OXFORD, Miss. — On Friday night, Ole Miss football updated its Availability Report and the Rebels have four players on the list, after having three named on Thursday. Running back Rashad Amos has been added and is listed as ‘out’ for tomorrow’s game. Unfortunately, fellow running back Logan Diggs, who many thought might be close to playing, is also listed as ‘out.’
Ole Miss travels to Gainesville to play the Florida Gators Saturday in a key SEC matchup for Ole Miss.
On Wednesday evening, each team released its initial availability report, and Ole Miss had 11 players listed, only two of whom (Izaiah Hartrup and Henry Parrish, Jr.) were considered ‘out. However, on Thursday, both Hartrup and Parrish Jr. remained on the list, while the only other player still on the initial list from Wednesday was Diggs who was listed as ‘questionable.’
The LSU transfer, Diggs, suffered a torn ACL in the Tigers’ bowl game last season. According to head coach Lane Kiffin, Diggs is getting closer and closer to a return to the gridiron.
Wide receiver Tre Harris, who head coach Lane Kiffin has indicated practiced with the team this week, is no longer on the list, nor are Jordan Watkins, Jaxson Dart and Princely Umanmielen. All four had been listed Wednesday as ‘probable.’
Harris has missed three-and-a-half games due to injury. Even with his absence, the Rebels’ wide receiver still leads the Southeastern Conference in yards (987).
These names will be updated in a final report at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, ninety minutes ahead of kickoff.
