Ole Miss left tackle Jayden Williams earns top offensive lineman grade in nation for week one, per PFF
OXFORD, Miss. — The Ole Miss offensive line is bigger, stronger and deeper than it has been in many years. And, according to PFF, the Rebels’ o-line also owns the highest-graded offensive lineman in the nation this week, as junior left tackle Jayden Williams scored a 90.9.

The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Williams has played in 24 games for Ole Miss, making 16 starts.
Against Furman, Williams finished with the aforementioned 90.9 ranking, and here’s how that stacks up against the other top linemen in the nation in week one:
90.9 Jayden Williams (Ole Miss)
89.4 Dillon Wade (Auburn)
88.6 Logan Brown (Kansas)
88.2 Bryce Cabeldue (Kansas)
87.8 Kwabena Asamoah (Rutgers)
85.7 Caleb Etienne (BYU)
84.4 Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan (Oregon State)
84.2 Michael Ford Jr. (Kansas)
84.1 Connor Tollison (Missouri)
83.8 Tyler Needham (Rutgers)
Ole Miss offensive line coach John Garrison owns the luxury of having literally the most experienced unit in the country. With six players returning who have starting experience, combined with four transfers in who also have starting experience, the Rebels’ 2024 offensive line collectively returns players with 222 total starts, according to Phil Steele. That’s the most total starts of any offensive line unit in the nation.
That is a good thing as Garrison’s group is currently dealing with injuries to Caleb Warren, Gerquan Scott and Jeremy James.
Head coach Lane Kiffin acknowledged in this week’s SEC Coaches Teleconference that the challenge up front will only grow as the season progresses and SEC play begins.
“The linemen and the front seven are getting bigger here, as we go (into the season). From week one to week two that we’re playing, t’s more of a challenge this week for them (than in week 1).“
