VISITORS LIST | Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss Welcome Big-Name Recruits Headed to Oxford as Rebels Kick off 2024 Season against Furman
OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss football is set to kick off the 2024 season in just a matter of hours! And in addition to the game on the field inside Vaught-Hemingway Saturday, the recruiting game has amped up also. Head coach Lane Kiffin and staff will have some highly-sought-after recruits in town for this weekend’s game against Furman.
Although these lists can be fluid, here’s who we can expect to see in Oxford, per our sources. As the list changes, we will keep you updated on this page:
5-Star Wide Receiver Caleb Cunningham: Committed to Alabama
Cunningham, the 5-star Choctaw County (Miss.) High School wide receiver, is committed to Alabama — but that being said, he is set to be at this weekend’s Furman game. He’s ranked the No. 1 overall athlete in the state of Mississippi as well as the No. 3 wide receiver in the nation.
He committed to Alabama back on July 13, but the 6-foot-1, 190-pound Cunningham continues to show interest in Ole Miss. In addition to his commit to the Tide and his offer from Ole Miss, he holds offers from a who’s who of schools: LSU, Georgia, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas and Texas A&M in the SEC, as well as Florida State, Michigan, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, Michigan State, Oregon, Penn State, USC, Memphis and others.
We’ll keep you updated on how Cunningham’s visit goes.
4-Star Wide Receiver Dillon Alfred: Committed to Ole Miss
After initially committing to Ole Miss and then decommitting, 4-star WR Dillon Alfred is back in the boat with the Rebels’ 2025 recruiting class.
The 5-11, 185-pound Alfred, playing for Saraland High School, in Saraland, AL, is rated as the No. 57 receiver in America and the No. 18 player in the class of 2025 in the state of Alabama, according to 247Sports. Click HERE to read more on Dillon.
4-star S Ladarian Clardy: Not Committed
Lardarian is a 4-star safety from Escambia High School in Pensacola. He’s not committed but has a date set for September 21, and the Rebels seem to be in the lead. Clardy is ranked the No. 22 overall athlete in the state of Florida and is ranked the No. 15 safety in the nation.
A number of crystal balls have Clardy headed to Oxford. Stay tuned and we’ll bring you his commitment info as it happens in September.
4-Star Linebacker Jarcoby Hopson: Committed to Ole Miss
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Hopson from Lake Cormorant, Miss., is rated as the nation’s No. 23 linebacker and the No. 8 player in the 2025 class in the state of Mississippi. Needless to say, he has been a top priority for the Rebels and Pete Golding.
While he is ranked as a linebacker, Hopson was pivotal on both sides of the ball in his junior season. Defensively he notched 79 total tackles, 56 of which were solo, 11 pass breakups and allowed zero touchdowns. Offensively, he tallied 162 passing yards, 766 rushing and 928 total yards for 12 touchdowns. Click HERE to read more on Jarcoby’s commit to Ole Miss.
4-Star Defensive Lineman Andrew Maddox: Committed to Ole Miss
Maddox, a 4-star DL from Oak Grove (Hattiesburg) High School, is an in-state commit whose older brother, AJ Maddox (QB) is already on the roster for the Rebels. Their father is very close with Ole Miss DC Pete Golding, and it appears his commit is solid. Andrew is currently rated the No. 13 overall athlete in the Magnolia State and is the No. 24-ranked DL in the nation.
IOL – Warren Nolen: Not Committed
The 6-3.5, 320-pound Warren Nolen will be in Oxford this weekend for what is at least his second trip to God’s Country. He is the younger brother of former 5-star DL Walter Nolen, also the nation’s No. 1 transfer portal defensive lineman, who is now playing for the Rebels.
The younger Nolen plays both sides of the ball for The Woodlands High School in Texas; however, he is being recruited by Ole Miss as an interior offensive lineman. He played his freshman season (2021) in Powell (Tenn.) High School.
2026 QB Luke Fahey: Not committed
Class of 2026 QB Lukey Fahey out of Mission Viejo, California, is also set to visit this weekend. The 6-foot-0, 185-pound QB is ranked as the No. 42 overall athlete in the nation and the No. 22 in his home state of California.
2026 WR Vance Spafford: Not Committed
Class of 2026 WR Vance Spafford is set to visit Oxford this weekend with his QB, Luke Fahey (see above). The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Spafford is ranked the No. 19-overall athlete in California, as well as the No. 16 WR in the state.
2026 CB DD Daniels: Not Committed
Class of 2026 CB DD Daniels is another talented athlete out of Lake Cormorant (Miss.) High School. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound defensive back is ranked the No. 21-overall athlete in the state of Mississippi and the No. 65 CB in the nation for his class.
