Ole Miss Defeats Little Rock, 12-6, in Mid-Week Game at Swayze
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss’ offense stayed hot at the dish against Little Rock on Tuesday as the Rebels defeated the Trojans, 12-6.
Ole Miss (5-4) hit a total of four home runs in the game.
Little Rock (3-5) opened up the first by loading the bases against the Rebels’ southpaw Wes Mendes, but the freshman got out of the jam.

The Rebels struck first with a three-run shot off the bat of Will Furniss to left field with two outs in the inning. Ole Miss went up 3-0 over Little Rock.

Furniss finished the game going 1-for-3 with a run and three RBI.
Little Rock got on the board in the second on a solo home run to right by Ty Rhoades. In the third, Little Rock added a run on a solo shot by Luke Pectol.
Ole Miss head coach Mike Bianco made the call to the bullpen in the fourth inning for Mason Morris.
Mendes worked 3.0 complete frames and surrendered two runs on two hits with a pair of walks and five strikeouts on the afternoon.
Ole Miss regained a four-run advantage in the fourth after loading the bases to open the frame. Ethan Lege drove in the first run on a sac fly to left. Jackson Ross came up and delivered a one-out bases-clearing double, and Ole Miss went up 6-2 over Little Rock.

The Trojans got two runs back in the fifth on a two-run home run by Pectol as Ole Miss led 6-4. Pectol finished the game going 2-for-3 with two home runs, two runs and four RBI.
Morris tossed three innings with three runs on three hits and two walks on two strikeouts.
The Rebels’ offense added three more runs to their total in the sixth capped off by a bases-clearing double by Reagan Burford.

Little Rock tacked on a run in the seventh.
Ross delivered his fourth straight home run in five games in the bottom of the frame.

In the eighth, the Trojans scored a run to make it 10-6, Ole Miss.
Ole Miss captain Reagan Burford drove a home run to left-center to put the Rebels up 11-6, followed by a home run to right by Andrew Fischer.
