Key Ole Miss targets, commits named All State by Mississippi High School Football Coaches
OXFORD, Miss. — Following Saturday’s state championship games, the Mississippi High School Football Coaches’ All-State teams were announced. These all-state teams are voted on by coaches around the state who are members of the Mississippi Association of Coaches.
A number of Ole Miss targets and commits were recognized for their phenomenal 2023 seasons. Below is the list of those players recognized.
- Braylon Burnside, 7A First Team Offense: The wide receiver for Starkville High School is an important Ole Miss target who is currently uncommitted.
- Andrew Maddox, 7A First Team Defense: The defensive Oak Grove defensive lineman is an uncommitted 2025 player who is ranked as a top-100 prospect by several recruiting services.
- Kamarion Franklin, 6A First Team Defense: The Lake Cormorant defensive lineman is a 2024 Ole Miss commit.
- Patrick Broomfield, 5A First Team Defense: The Clarksdale cornerback is a 2024 Ole Miss commit.
- William Echoles, 4A Defensive Player of the Year: The Houston, Miss. 2024 lineman is an Ole Miss commit.
- Kamron Beavers, 2A First Team Defense: The Bay Springs defensive lineman is a 2024 Ole Miss commit.
As you will notice, four players on this list are Ole Miss commits, three of whom are defensive linemen.
Ole Miss also has the commitment of another D-lineman, Pascagoula’s Jeffrey Rush, who was on his way to being an All-State player until he was injured early in the season.
