Ole Miss kicker Caden Costa enters transfer portal

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss junior kicker Caden Costa announced via social media on Thursday that he is entering the transfer portal.

In a statement to Rebel Nation, Costa thanked his teammates, coaches and fans for his time in Oxford.

“For the past three years, I have been blessed to be able to play for Ole Miss,” Costa said. “The team took me in and supported me through the highs and lows and I can’t thank them enough for that.”

Costa arrived at Ole Miss in 2021 and appeared in 11 games. He didn’t play in 2022.

This season, Costa attempted one field goal against Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl and made the 36-yard attempt.

Out of high school, Costa was rated as a 4.5-star prospect by Chris Sailer Kicking. The Louisiana native was touted as the No. 7 kicker in the nation.
