Weather delays Ole Miss baseball’s series opener with Auburn one day
OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss and Auburn were supposed to start their three-game series Thursday at Swayze Field; however, Mother Nature has intervened in the Rebels’ season-finale at home.
The Rebs and Tigers will now play a doubleheader on Friday, beginning at 2:00 p.m. (Thursday’s game had been scheduled for a first pitch at 7:00 p.m). Saturday’s game is still scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
Following the 2:00 p.m. game Friday, the teams will have an hour in-between games before they play the second in the series.
Ticket info:
Both games of the doubleheader Friday will be 9-inning games. Thursday’s ticket will be valid for Game 1 (2:00 p.m.) Friday, while Friday’s ticket will be valid for Game 2.
The grandstand and outfield will not be cleared between games — fans with Game-1 tickets only can remain in GA seating for Game 2, per Ole Miss.
