Friday NCAA Baseball Tourney Watch: Ole Miss Projected in Field of 64 by D1 Baseball
OXFORD, Miss. — D1Baseball.com released its latest projections Friday for the NCAA Baseball Tournament, and Ole Miss is included as one of the “last four in” the field.
As of today, the Rebels are projected as the No. 62 team in the tourney. A lot can change based on the results of the conference tournaments, but for now D1Baseball believes Ole Miss will be playing in postseason.
Ole Miss (32-22, 14-16 SEC) lost, 3-1, in the opening round of the SEC Tournament in Hoover to Vanderbilt and now must wait to learn its fate in Monday’s NCAA selection show.
As of this morning, Ole Miss has an RPI of 38.
Currently, D1Baseball has the Rebels listed as the No. 3 seed in the Louisville Regional with the host team the No. 1 seed, followed by No. 2-seed Oklahoma State and No. 4 Ball State.

The field of 64 will be announced Monday morning and for now, all the Rebels can do is wait.
Ole Miss’ Justin Bench talked about that waiting game after the loss to Vandy.
“We’re just going to stay together. I’d like to think we did enough to get in but it’s up to those ten guys in the committee to see if we got in.”
