Prior to Ole Miss, Leonard played three seasons at the University of Calgary where he recorded 47 tackles, one tackle for loss, a single sack, and six interceptions. Those numbers earned him two selections to the All-Canadian Team en route to winning the 2019 Vanier Cup.
The speedy Canadian transferred to Ole Miss two years ago. Last season, he was a key component of an Ole Miss defense that improved dramatically while helping the Rebels to their first 10-win regular season in school history.
In 2021, the 6-foot, 195-pound Leonard notched 50 tackles, seven pass breakups and one tackle for loss.
