Ole Miss has now had 12 players drafted in the top six rounds over the past four years and 199 overall in the Mike Bianco era.
Fantastic final season
For his 2021 performance, Broadway earned All-America honors from Baseball America and NCBWA. The senior out of Cypress, Texas, set a program record with 16 saves in 2021, three more than any other single-season effort in program history.
Broadway’s 16 saves this season, alone, tie him for eighth on the Ole Miss career saves chart. He led the SEC and finished second nationally in saves. And when his team needed him, Broadway made his first career start in the Rebels’ season finale in the NCAA Tucson Super Regional at Arizona on June 13.
The Rebels’ unquestioned go-to reliever struck out 66 batters while walking only nine this season. His 30 total pitching appearances are tied for the second-most in a single season in program history.
He is as good as it gets at the end of the game…Congrats TB! https://t.co/1yiTOcjhSp

Fellow pitchers Gunnar Hoglund and Doug Nikhazy were also drafted, with Hoglund going to the Blue Jays in the first round and Nikhazy to the Indians in the second.
Together, Nikhazy and Broadway formed one of the most formidable starter-closer duos in college baseball. Ole Miss was 10-1 this season in games when both Nikhazy and Broadway pitched.
It's hard for us not to get emotional either @taylor_broadway pic.twitter.com/4NxOPKJSNH
